Thank You!
WE ARE SO GRATEFUL TO THOSE WHO HAVE MADE DONATIONS TO PARTNERS IN PREVENTION THIS YEAR TO HELP US CONTINUE CRITICAL PREVENTION WORK.
“As the new social worker for the school district, I want to educate staff and students about child abuse. l am a previous CPS worker and forensic interviewer. In my past role, I noticed that there is an underreporting of child abuse in this community. Now in this new role, I want to provide that education to ensure children are safe.”
—KARINA, SCHOOL DISTRICT SOCIAL WORKER
It’s a time of year for giving and gratefulness, and we extend our appreciation to those generous community members whose donations have allowed us to continue the critical work we do in providing child abuse prevention and education tools to those important community partners who are working directly with vulnerable children on the front lines. This is what your donation dollars do.
Some of our donors have been anonymous, giving via organizations like Benevity and AmazonSmile. Benevity offers ways for companies to support employee giving and volunteering. Employees can donate to their favorite cause directly from their paycheck, and companies can match that giving. We’ve also received anonymous donations through AmazonSmile, which donates to customers’ favorite charitable organization on their behalf. Learn more about Benevity here and about AmazonSmile here.
“One of our primary focuses is Child and Adolescent Injury prevention. I will use the kit to do presentations at the local Boys and Girls Club, and also during different events in the community. Our Boys and Girls Club has roughly 150 enrollees at any given time. Our district has 2,218 students. On an annual basis, the materials will help anywhere from 500-1500 children and adults.”
—KIMBERLY, TEXAS STATE DEPT. OF HEALTH SERVICES
